1. Hero

Most tools like this don't have a website.

They have a README.

Notes 2 Digital converts photos of handwritten notes into digital text — then into Remnote flashcards in one click. Bring your own API key. Pay for what you use. No subscription, no platform cut. Built for students who'd rather write on paper than type.

The product was already lean.

The website had to be too.


2. The challenge

The brief I gave myself: make it obvious what this does, and make it look good doing it.

That's deceptively hard.

Most open-source utility sites are functional and forgettable. The product works fine — the site just doesn't communicate that. Users land, scan for five seconds, leave.

A tool this simple either explains itself instantly or gets skipped.

There's no middle ground.
